2008 Accommodation Rates

For years behind an engine
I travelled many miles
I’ve seen greetings and sad partings
I’ve seen tears and I’ve seen smiles

 It always was a pleasure
Taking families to the sea
My life has changed, now I’m retired
And people come to me

 I stand here on a short track
Never more to roam
I’ve been refurbished and made in to
A luxury holiday home 

Two compartments are now bedrooms
Each has its’ own ensuite
One compartment to relax in
Still has original seats

 A nicely fitted kitchen
Will delight the home-style chef
Dine inside or on the balcony
It’s great to please yourself

 Now people over 40
Have their memory refreshed
When they see the original lavatory
Spruced up looking its’ best

There is an original notice
That’s sure to catch the eye
”Don’t flush while train is stationary”
tho’ this doesn’t now apply

 Norfolk’s a beautiful county
There is so much here to do
The beach, countryside walks and wildlife
Sailing, shopping and restaurants too

 So thanks to Judy and Terry
My life is such a pleasure
It’s great that after all these years
We still make memories to treasure
