August Bank Holiday 1959

During the floods of 31st January 1953

parts of the track on the Heacham to Wells line

were washed away in several places

between Burnham Market and Wells.

Freight trains continued to run on

the Heacham to Wells line

as far as Burnham Market until December 1964

but on 29th June 1952

there was a returning

'PILGRIM SPECIAL'

from

Walsingham to Ketteringham.
