It is well known that self catering holidays in Norfolk are a great way to relax and get away from the stresses of modern life.  Both our holiday flat and studio flat are perfectly designed for a comfortable, self-catered escape from day to day life.

A warm welcome to a tranquil "get away from it all self-catering holiday" here in the heart of Heacham on Norfolk's very own sunset coast.  What could be better than an escape from the day to day grind and find yourself a short walk from Heacham beach (less than a mile) and the village amenities.  If you want to explore further afield you have the choice of longer walks, short drives or bike rides to many local attractions including Norfolk Lavender and the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton (which takes 5 mins by car or approx 45 mins walking along the beach).  If your favoured outdoor activity is golf you could not do better than the championship golf course in Hunstanton just a short drive away.  Royal West Norfolk at Brancaster is a little further along the coast and a new 18 hole golf course is currently under construction in the village at Heacham Manor Hotel.  You can even hire a selection of bikes within Heacham village at reasonable rates and enjoy the local countryside on wheels.  This is your perfect Norfolk retreat whether it is a family seaside holiday, a serious bird watching break, an activity holiday of walks, sailing and other watersports or just a quiet escape.  You will find it all at Orange House.

The Studio Flat is ideal for just the two of you and the Holiday Flat accommodates a small family.
If you have a larger family or group of friends you could book both the Holiday Studio and the Holiday Flat Apartments simultaneously as the apartments are next door to each other.

 

Orange House is estimated to have been built in the late 1820s.   (The holiday accommodation part of Orange House was added later with the Studio Flat being added by the current owners.)  The house was originally called "Cedar Lodge" then also "The Grange".  The name was changed again by Count Robert Bentinck (a Captain in HM Army) as Count Bentinck was connected to the famous House of Orange in The Netherlands (associated with William of Orange).  Count Bentinck sold the house in 1927.  As a point of interest, the front door of the main house has a stained glass panel depicting the crest of the House of Orange.
