This being my first visit to this event I was anxious to get some excellent photos.  Right on cue the Boston Classic Car Club were posing for a commemorative photo of their own so I joined in and snapped away (see above).

Unfortunately good photos of the kites themselves proved difficult to achieve due to my unfamiliarity with the camera I had kindly been lent by Doreen & Clive.  This was a real shame as the kite displays were really worth photographing.

The kite shown on the top right (below) was a major stunt with the man directing the kite actually climbing up the kite's guide strings.  I am sure he got well above the trees shown in the photo.

I witnessed some great kite flying by the Thorpe Kite Flyers and The Great Ouse Kite Flyers.  Other entertainment was on offer throughout the afternoon and included the baton twirling Downham Marquettes (pictured top right) who - they tell me - were instrumental in setting up our very own Heacham Twirlers (so thank you Downham Marquettes).  There was also a number of children's races (and one for the adults) plus the fantastic "Doc Spinoff and His Tricky Tricycles and Circus Workshop.  I couldn't get my oldest son away from it!
